Marcus Raymond Morse's Obituary
Big Rapids Marcus Raymond Morse, age 29 of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011. He was born on August 2, 1981 at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the son of Douglas E. and Valerie P. (Yother) Morse. Marcus is survived by his wife Tera (VanAlstine); three children, Kymburly, Nevaeh and Dylan, his father, Douglas of Big Rapids, his mother Valerie Howard of Nauvoo, Illinois, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Denise and Mikael VanAlstine of Grant Center, step-father Steven (Patty) Sayger of Ludington, three brothers, Joseph (Sarah) Morse of Ohio, Timothy (Sarah) Morse of Tennessee, Matthew Sayger of Tennessee, one sister Danielle (Ace) Staton of Tennessee, grandparents Mary Morse of Morley, Valerie Yother of Morley, two sisters-in-law Bridgetta (Kent) Clewley, Jessica, and one brother-in-law Conor, plus numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Raymond Morse and Daniel Raymond Yother. Marcus graduated from Morley-Stanwood High School in 2000. He was a loving father and loved to play the guitar. Marcus had a love and respect for the Native American culture which he was a part of. A memorial service for Marcus will be at 3:00pm, Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1325 Woodward Avenue, Big Rapids, with Elder Merle Thompson, officiating.
