Margaret Ellenor Hock's Obituary
Big Rapids Margaret Ellenor Hock died Monday August 29 at the age of 99. She lived her entire life in Big Rapids. She currently lived at Evergreen Terrace where she has resided for the last five years with a staff of professional caregivers who have been like her second family. Margaret was born June 1912 to Clint and Amy Zeller. She attended and graduated from Big Rapids Schools and then graduated from County Normal, which later became Ferris University. Margaret taught elementary school. After she and LH Bud Hock married and had their three daughters, she stayed at home with the girls. Margaret has always been a mother extraordinaire. Survivors include: daughter Linda (Richard) Myers and son-in-law Pat Britten, grandchildren: Tim (Karen) Myers, Marcee (Todd) Purcell, Erik and Scott Myers, Aimee Guild, Allison and Peter Britten. She has four great grand children, Kylee, Gretchen, Ashlee, Jacob and a sister-in-law Myrtle Zeller. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Amy Zeller, a brother Louie Zeller, her husband of 67 years, Bud Hock, two daughters Carla and Dixie and a granddaughter Nikki Miller. Her wish was to be cremated and that has taken place. There is no public service planned at this time.
