Margaret Anne Kinsey's Obituary
Margaret (Maggie) Anne Kinsey, age 87, of Lakeview, Michigan passed away on April 21, 2023 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. Maggie was raised in Norwich, England where she attended the Blyth School for Girls and graduated in 1954. It was there she met Donald Kinsey, stationed at the R. A. F. Base in Sculthorpe, Norfolk, while in the US Air Force. They wed in 1956 and were very happy for 61 years. Upon returning to the U. S, they raised their children in West Bloomfield, NY, and retired in Lakeview, Michigan in 1991. She was a dedicated mother who was an excellent cook, a master gardener, and a devoted wife. She loved to entertain and collected antiques. She traveled with her husband throughout Michigan showing restored antique tractors and flywheel engines at many events. Margaret and her husband enjoyed a very good life together. Maggie will be deeply missed by her brother Richard Kemp of Greenhithe, Kent, England, children; Mark Kinsey of Anniston, Alabama, Timothy (Debbie) Kinsey of West Virginia, Mary (John) Sherman of Isle La Motte, Vermont, and Larry Anderson of Otto, North Carolina, five grandchildren; Katie Kinsey, Kristopher Kinsey, Melissa Goff, Benjamin Anderson and Zackary Sherman; three great grandchildren; Jayden Cosgrove, Ariella Goff, Alayna Goff, and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Walter and Phyllis Kemp, husband Donald Kinsey, daughter Jennifer Anderson, infant son John, and sisters Mary Kemp and Clyte Venvell, and her beloved dog Daisy. On behalf of our entire family, we would like to thank Steve Brigham and his staff at Brigham Facilities for their compassion and kindness throughout the last few months of our mom's life. We are forever grateful, and to Spectrum Hospice for making this journey so much easier for us all. A private burial will take place this summer at the Plainfield Cemetery in Unadilla, Michigan.
