Margaret Mishler's Obituary
Margaret Katherine Mishler, age 86, of Big Rapids went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home. She was born to Marion (Akom) and Charles Yost on July 12, 1926 in Big Rapids, and has been a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Margaret graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1944. She married Joseph Mishler of Big Rapids in 1946. Five children were blessed to their union. Margaret was a beloved mother, Den Mother, member of the St Mary Alter Society, and the Marthas. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, coffee with family and friends, family dinners, the Detroit Tigers and helping her church. Margaret worked at Judson's Hardware for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. She is survived by her children; Joseph (Linda) Mishler of Holly, James (Kitty) Mishler of Clare, John (Nanette) Mishler of Chesaning, Mary Louise Bechtel (Richard Iozia) of Las Vegas, Kathleen (Dave) Bouwman of Big Rapids, 16 grandchildren; Michael and Jennifer Mishler, Barbara Goodall, Elizabeth Mishler, Jeremy Mishler, Tessa Hoffman, Garrett Mishler, Malachi Mishler, Simone Mishler-Egar, Melanie Quirk, Brent and Dylan Iozia, Danielle and Nichole Bouwman, Elizabeth Williams and Andrew Klarecki, 14 great-grandchildren, plus a special cousin, Catherine Marlette. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph, one brother Richard Yost and one grandson, Christopher Jon Mishler. A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Dan DePew and Fr. Lam T. Le, celebrants. Interment will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery in Paris. Visitation will be 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and 6:30 -8:00 pm on Friday, November 23.
