Marilyn Gail Proctor's Obituary
? Big Rapids- Marilyn Gail Proctor, 80, Marilyn was born January 20, 1930 in Pellston, the daughter of Ralph and Mildred (Flood) Kilpatrick, and grew up there. She attended the Pogy School, and in 1947, she married Brian Proctor. Marilyn worked as a Mental Health Technician for several years, and later volunteered with Focus on Fours pre-school program, known to hundreds of children as "Gramma Proctor". She was an avid reader, loved to embroider, enjoyed her garden and canning, and loved a good debate. Marilyn wanted to be known for her patience (just ask all of her beloved grand and great-grandchildren!) Surviving are her children, Mary Jo Proctor of Big Rapids, Brian (Marcy) Proctor of Crossville, TN, and William Proctor of Big Rapids; sisters Ruth Deits of Ione, CA, and Donelda Wiseman of Big Rapids; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Brian in 1990, brother William Kilpatrick, and sisters Virginia May Kilpatrick and Arthea Metcalf. Private family services will be held at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with spring burial in the Highland View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you consider a memorial contribution in her name to the Autism Society of Michigan, 2178 Commons Parkway, Okemos, MI 48864
