Marilyn Jean Rolston's Obituary
Big Rapids - Marilyn Jean Rolston, 90, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Tustin House ALF.
She was born April 23, 1933, in Big Rapids, the daughter of William and Pearl (Reed) Fitzgerald, and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1951. Marilyn was a longtime member of the Trinity Fellowship Church.
In 1955 Marilyn married Irvin "Dale" Rolston, who preceded her in death in 2007. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Phyllis) Rolston of Traverse City and Rodney (Tina) Rolston of Georgia; five grandchildren, Joel, Morgan, Bernard (Nicole), Robert (Courtney), and Phillip; three great grandchildren, Grace, Grayson, and Ty; her brother Denton (Virginia) Fitzgerald of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was also preceded in death by her sisters, Wylna (Gordon) Johnson, Alice Fitzgerald, and Ruth (Herb) Frack.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Larry Rolston officiating. Marilyn's family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to Dale in the West Cemetery in Big Rapids.
