Marilyn Louise Vega's Obituary
Marilyn Louise Vega, age 80 of Mecosta, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2014, at Trillion Woods Hospice in Bryon Center. A funeral will be held on Thursday, June 26th, at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to the time of service.
Marilyn was born February 24, 1934 in Mecosta, MI the daughter of Arnold and Blenda Lett (Sleet). Loving, generous, quick witted, friendly, and kind were all words used to describe Marilyn. She enjoyed old television shows, spooky books, and her coffee and doughnuts. She was known to be a great mentor to many young women and took in family members whom she raised as her own. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by many.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Carlos, Julio (Angelic), and Jose “Pepe” (Lora); daughters, Karen (Javier) and Wanda (Benny); brother, Arnold “Buster” (Dorothy); sisters, Margie (Dutch), Sharon, and Ada; brother-in-law, Walter Todd “Bike”; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sadly, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Juilo; her parents; and sisters, Merle and Doris.
