Mark Edward Hale's Obituary
Lakeview-Mark Edward Hale, age 51, of Lakeview passed away at his home on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born in Grand Rapids on October 11, 1970, the son of Edward and Carol (Pontius) Hale. Mark was raised in the Trufant and Coral area where he attended Lakeview Community Schools. Upon graduation he continued his education at Montcalm Community College. Mark was employed at Meijer Inc. for over 24 years, working his way up to the Human Resources Department at the Corporate offices. He retired from Big Rapids Products in July of 2013. Mark enjoyed cooking, fishing, computers, and gaming. Around age 11, he rode his bike to West Lakes, almost every afternoon to spend his free time fishing. As a man, he loved to cook for the family and made the best peach cobbler. Mark loved his family deeply and was always talking about his grandchildren and the cute things they would do. His memory will be forever cherished by all who knew him.
Mark is survived by his children, Kayla (David Richter) Hale, Cassandra Hale, Andrew Hale all of Big Rapids; grandchildren, Raistlin, Caramon, Violet; his mother, Carol Hale of Greenville; siblings, Carey Wanamaker, Jason Hale, Nikki Ault; 5 nieces; 1 nephew; and the mother of his children Joy Carper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; brother, Andrew; and sister, Nicola.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Gale Nesbitt, officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM until time of service.
