Marquita Shalanda Davis was born February 27, 1987, in Lansing, Michigan. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Prebble and Stephan Davis. She was proceeded in death by grandparents Farina and Eddie Davis, Uncle Billy Davis, Uncle Bernie Davis, and Grandfather George Webb.
Marquita Shalanda Davis on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, departed this life with a blessed assurance that she was loved by her devoted family, friends, and church family. She leaves to cherish her legacy to: her husband Anthony Ivey; four children, Shekinah Davis, Zuri Davis, Loren Ivey, and Zion Ivey; stepson: Anthony Ivey Jr.; her parents; sister Christina Davis (Robert Davis); brother: Stephan Davis; Grandmother Phyllis Prebble; Aunties, Catherine Bryant, Bonita Jones, and Ola Mae Webb; four nieces, Alexandria Gray, Sanaa, Kazyah, and Camilla Davis; four nephews, Jaquan, Omaree, Jaiden, and JC Davis; cousins, Adam, Aaron, Christopher, and Ariana Ford, Dwinetta Loren Webb, Karlito and Kingston McKinney, Pierce Webb Jr., Pierre Webb, Cornell Davis, and Chiana, Charlie, and Isabella Smith. Marquita touched so many lives our family couldn't mention each name, but she loved you all!
Marquita was baptized and accepted Christ as her Savior. She was a member of ACTS Ministry SDA Fellowship. Marquita, affectionally known as Kita, loved her family and was a second mother to her nieces and nephews. She was recently employed as a Medical Assistant. Kita was a beautiful soul and would do anything for the people she loved even helping stranger. She was always happy and smiling you would never know if something was wrong. She loved the outdoors, taking walks, yoga, and her animals especially her dog Royalty.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2022, at the Baldwin Senior High School, with Elder Eric Kemp officiating. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Share a memory or express condolences at mohnkefuneralhome.com.
