Martha Rachael Baker's Obituary
ObituaryLakeview - Martha Rachael (Dean) Baker, age 84, of Lakeview, passed away at her home on Friday, September 9, 2022. She was born in Midland on November 9, 1937, the daughter of Maxwell and Madelein (Bale) Dean. She was raised in Midland and graduated from Midland High School Class of 1955. Martha furthered her education through Michigan State University. She married the love of her life Joseph Harold Baker on December 27, 1957, in Detroit. Martha worked for Electrolux as a Supervisor for over thirty years until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed swimming, reading, sports, music, camping, fishing with her husband. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family events. Martha will be missed by her children Sandra (Art) Ruth of CA, Pam (Douglas) Dow of Kalamazoo, Scott Baker of TN, Brian Baker of Vicksburg, Fraser Baker of FL, Mark (Ellie) Baker of Trufant, and Joseph Baker of FL; nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother Patrick Dean of IN; one sister Peggy (Tom) Steric of Kalamazoo; and nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Baker; one son Randall Baker; and two brothers Fraser and Andrew Dean. Funeral services for Martha will be Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 1:00 P. M. at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, Michigan with Pastor Ted Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at the Village of Lakeview Cemetery following the service.
