Mary was born June 21, 1926, the daughter of August and Mary (Stockmal) Gigowski. She later married the love of her life, Howard Bennett, and together they traveled and lived in many different locations before settling down in Florida; which is where they opened a gas station and motel and ran and operated it together for 30 years. The two were both animal lovers and had many pets over the years including the bobcat that lived at the gas station.
Mary was known for her beautiful embroidery work, kind nature, and good sense of humor. She always had a way of making others feel comfortable with her compassionate ways. Presentation was of great importance to her and it showed in both her and everything she did.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Howard Jr.; sisters, Marge Gigowski and Phyllis Lint; one brother, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sadly Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard; daughter, Joan Anderson in 2003; five brothers, and her parents.
