Mary Jane Christensen's Obituary
Lakeview-Mary Jane Christensen, age 78, of Lakeview, Michigan passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, surrounded by her family at Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital. She was born in Newcastle, Wyoming on December 18, 1944, the daughter of Grant and Mary Katherine (Brown) Havercroft. Mary Jane was raised in Newcastle where she graduated from high school with the class of 1962. She continued her education at Rapid City Business College in South Dakota. Mary Jane married Kyle "Tiny" Christensen on September 9, 1977, in Newcastle. She was employed in the insurance billing department by Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene, TX, and Westen County Medical Hospital in Newcastle for a total of 37 years before her retirement in 2014. Mary Jane enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, cross stitch and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart.Mary Jane is survived by her children, Deborah (Marvin) Jones of Lakeview, Walter (Theresa) Wiles of Ionia; 5 grandchildren, Mitch Waite, Missy (Hunter) Cutler, Michaela (Glenn) Wood, Brian (Abby) Wiles, Grant Wiles; and 3 great-grandchildren, Melanie, Alyvia, Luke.She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Mary Katherine; and a brother, John Henry Havercroft.A celebration of Mary Jane's life will be held at a later date.Condolences can be made by utilizing the guest book at www.brighamfuneralchapel.com
