Mary Majorie Denison's Obituary
BIG RAPIDS Mary Marjorie McCarty Denison, 85, of Big Rapids died on April 23, 2010, at home. Marjorie was born July 19, 1924 in Saginaw, the fourth of eight children born to Justin and Frances McCarty. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1942 and Alma College in 1947. She married D. Spencer Denison of Marysville. They settled in Big Rapids in late 1952. A career educator, Marjories last position before retirement was Principal at Eastwood School. Marjorie is survived by her five children and their spouses: Carol Ann Dyer, of Washington, D.C.; Tim (Pamela) Denison of Chicago; Chris (Linda) Denison of Parker, Colo.; Mary Jo (Ed) Farrell of Hawthorne, Calif.; and Jon (Kimberly Williams) Denison of Seneca Falls, N.Y. Memories of wonderful times spent together will be shared by her grandchildren Christopher Dyer, Simone (Peter) Randazzo, Amanda and Katie Denison, Eric and Erin Farrell, Whitney and Dalton Denison, and by her great-grandchild, Elisa Randazzo. Her youngest brother, Patrick James (Carol) McCarty, of Saginaw, survives, as do numerous beloved nieces and nephews, one brother-in-law, several cousins and her sisters-in-law. Marjorie was precededed in death by her parents; brothers David, Justin, John and Bill; her sisters, Janet and Carolyn; and her ex-husband.
