Mary Lou Fribley's Obituary
Big Rapids-Mary Lou Fribley, 88, of Big Rapids passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born on April 17, 1926 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur E. and Winifred (VanBrocklin) Anderson. Mary Lou moved to Big Rapids with her family when she was very young. She graduated from Big Rapids High School. Mary Lou met her future husband Bob while working at the Pioneer. They married in 1955. They were long time members of St. Andrews Church. Mary Lou is survived by two sons; Mark (Pat) Fribley, John (Kathy) Fribley of Big Rapids, 5 grandchildren, David (Kara) Fribley of Brighton, Jennifer (Harvey) Thorson of Big Rapids, Christopher Fribley of Idaho, Michael Fribley of Big Rapids and Gregory Fribley of Canadian Lakes, plus 2 great-grandchildren, Kaylie and Bryanna Thorson and several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed sewing, watching sports, antiquing and crocheting. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert "Bob" and one brother John "Skip" Anderson. A memorial service for Mary Lou will be announced for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary Lou's name to Mecosta County Commission on Aging or Boy Scouts of America Troop #114 @ United Church in Big Rapids.
