Mary Letittia Morse's Obituary
Mary L (Page) Morse, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was carried by 10,000 angels to be with our Heavenly Father after a long illness with stroke and dementia.
She passed away on December 26, 2024, in Grand Rapids, MI peacefully with the help of hospice.
She was born August 21, 1930, in Paris, MI on the family farm of Claud L. and Helen J. (Kailing) Page. Mary grew up on the farm with siblings Claude, Margaret (Peggy), Ora and Barb. She always loved music and remembered dancing behind the door as a child to the radio but was too shy to let anyone see her. Her love of music followed her throughout her life. After retiring to Florida, she taught a line dancing class. For her 91st birthday, her cake was decorated with cowboy hats and dancing boots saying these few words “91 and still kicking it”.
On New Years Eve, 1949, she was joined in marriage with her soulmate, Richard Raymond Morse, in Reed City, MI. They went on to have five children, Steven (Carol) Morse, Lorraine (Jerry) Stilson, Kathleen (Dick) Storey, Renee (Art) Green and Douglas (Cindy) Morse. They raised their family on a small farm in Morley, MI.
Mary was grandmother to 12 grandchildren, Jeff Storey, Jason (Goldie) Stilson, Janel (Robert) Dolan, Joseph (Sarah) Morse, Tanya (Lenski) Llorens, Timothy Morse, Isaac Morse, Marcus (Tara) Morse, Sarah (Joseph) Rife, Jeremy (Nicole) Stilson, Danielle (Ace) Staton and Jessica (Greg) Westgate as well as many great and great greatgrandchildren. Other relatives include cousins, nieces and nephews and a very special niece, Jackie (Alan) Morse-Cooley.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone her life touched.
