Max Ronald Cebulla's Obituary
Max Ronald Cebulla, 82, of Cutbank, MT, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital.
He was born July 21, 1936, in Havre, MT, the son of Max B. and Ella Mae (Bell) Cebulla, and graduated from Shelby (MT) High School in 1954. Max then earned his Bachelor's Degree from Montana State University.
During the end of the Korean Conflict, Max served with the U.S. Army as an air traffic controller. Following his discharge, he returned to Montana, and in 1960, he married Zita Nassett.
Max worked in the family business, Maxie's Bakery, in both Shelby and Cutbank. For many years, he and Zita operated Maxie's Restaurant in Cutbank. A member of the Knights of Columbus, Max also sold K of C Insurance, and in later years he worked at Glacier National Park.
Upon the death of his wife on July 21, 2018, Max moved to Big Rapids to be near family. Surviving are 3 children, Max Clay (Lynette) Cebulla of Norton Shores, Aimee (Gary) Senior of Beatty, NV, Darin (Marcia) Cebulla of Reed City; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles (Kay) and Tim (Judy) Cebulla; two sisters, Vicki (Charles) Bigelow and Deb (Jim) Dekaye; a brother-in-law Vernon Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Max was also preceded in death by his sister Gail Anderson.
A celebration of Max's life will take place next summer. Memorial contributions in his name may be made for the Alzheimer's Association. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
