Max Scott Cook's Obituary
Edmore- Max Scott Cook, age 68, of Blanchard passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home. Scott was born in Edmore on April 12, 1954, the son of Max and Gayla (Cogswell) Cook. He was raised in Blanchard and attended school at Montabella, graduating with the Class of 1972. Scott was a farm hand at his family's farm and neighboring farms during high school. He was employed at Continental Web Press in Illinois for 27 years. Scott retired in 2016. In 2004 he married Tammy Samuels in Tampa, Florida. Scott had a love for old cars, walks in the woods, hunting, and fishing.Scott will be missed by his beloved wife, Tammy Cook of Blanchard; stepdaughter, Danielle Samuels of Grand Rapids; father, Max (Marie) Cook of Edmore; and two brothers, Danny (Diane) Cook of Blanchard and Bradley Cook of Blanchard.Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Gayla Cook, in 2000.A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 1-4 PM at the American Legion Hall in Blanchard. Friends and family are invited to share a meal and memories during that time. In lieu of flowers contributions in Scott's memory can be made to the American Heart Association.
