Michael Allen Stuk's Obituary
Michael Allen Stuk, age 65, of Six Lakes, passed away at his home with family by his side on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Michael was born November 18, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Gordon Jack and Barbara Jean (Shippy) Stuk. He was raised in Grand Rapids and graduated from Roger's High School Class of 1970 in Wyoming, Michigan. Michael was a loyal and life long employee of Meijer's for over 42 years. He started working at Meijer's in High School until his retirement in 2009. Michael married Dorothy Snider on May 10, 1980 in Remus at St. Michael's Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
Michael will be missed by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy Marie Stuk of Six Lakes; his mother Barbara Jean Stuk of Six Lakes; five children Michael (Megan) Stuk of Osceola, IN, Sarah (John) Yost of Wyoming, Patrick Stuk of Naples, FL, Pamela (Joshua) Breeden of Hampton, VA, and Mark (Kayla) Stuk of Greenville; seven grandchildren Tyler, Dane, and Zoe Stuk, Avery and Elly Stuk, and Guy and Ian Breeden; six siblings Dan (Sue) Stuk of Grandville, Debra (Gary) Towne of Six Lakes, Michelle (Harlan) Brower of Allendale, Don (Trina) Stuk of Hastings, Jack (Tina) Stuk of Hudsonville, and Jerry (Chris) Stuk of Howard City; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Gordon Jack Stuk, and one brother Ken DeMott.
A celebration in Michael's memory will take place on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life United Methodist Church with Pastor Sue Babb officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to leave a memorial contribution are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan or choice of families wishes.
