Michael Anthony Elkins, age 54, of Weidman, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Cremation will take place with a memorial service to follow at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home in Remus, Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00am. Vis Read Obituary
The Weidman Eagles will miss our brother, Mike. We enjoyed him as a being a member of our Brotherhood. The Weidman Eagles 4540 is making a memorial contribution in the name of Mike to the American Cancer Society. The family is in our prayers during these difficult times.

One of my favorite memories with Uncle Mike is my 21st birthday. It was my mom and Bill, Benny and Mindy, Roxann and Jimmy and Nick. We went to Miller's Pub for the first drink, then to Mt. Pleasant. Mike bought my first shot and had the same- it was pineapple upside down cake. We went to Wayside and Roxann and I danced to almost every song while everyone else in the group sat and had drinks and "people watched"... everyone except for Mike! My Uncle Mike could get down with the best of em when he wanted to. The 3 of us stayed out on the dance floor pretty much all night. I blacked out at some point but I know we had to pull-over a couple times on 20 on the way home so I could throw up. I can only imagine what Mike had to say about it at the time, but I do remember him teasing me for a long time after. I miss and love him so much. He will be greatly missed by many.
