Q: How did you meet Michael?

A: I met Michael when he was a small boy at Provincial House. It was my first job, while I was in high school. I remember him scooting around on his board and boy could he go some times! He always had a smile for me. He was such a cutie and a joy to take care of. I think I loved him from the minute I saw him. Just like his foster mom, my cousin Suziel. His passing leaves a big hole in many hearts. I will miss him.

I helped care for Michael for the last 5 years and I'm gonna miss him dearly. Michael wore the biggest smile on his face every day. He was always so happy. I could get him laughing so hard that he would get tears in his eyes just by blowing on his food to cool it off. He loved to hear music. One of his favorite songs was the song off of the titanic movie, and he would have a big smile yet tears running down his cheeks every time he heard it. We will have a huge void here without Michael. Rest in Heaven until we meet again Maynard. (His nick name here at Orchard was Maynard.) We love and miss you bunches already ❤️
