Michael "Mike" Jerome Delamater's Obituary
Michael Jerome Delamater, age 68, of Edmore passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Mike was born in Sheridan, Michigan on May 25, 1957, to Charles and Vivian (Parks) Delamater. He graduated from Montabella High School in Edmore with the Class of 1976. On January 20, 1979, Mike married Karen Sue Acker, the love of his life for 46 years. He was employed at Federal Mogul in Greenville as a machine operator for over 25 years. Mike was a lover of sports. You could always find him watching his favorite team, University of Michigan. Mike especially enjoyed playing softball and loved camping, spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.Mike will forever be missed and is survived by his loving wife, Karen Delamater of Edmore; mother, Vivian Dobbrastine of Six Lakes; 4 daughters, Melissa (Tim) Snyder of Alma, Jennifer (Corey Jones) Delamater of Chesterfield, VA, Christa (Samer) Atris of Canton, Nicole (Corey) Beetley of Vestaburg; 3 brothers, Randy (Karen) Delamater of Six Lakes, Kevin Delamater of Six Lakes, Kerry (Kathy) Dobbrastine of Six Lakes; 2 sisters, Kathy (Doug) Ferguson of McBride, Pam (Tim) Cummins of Greenville; 6 grandchildren, Bailey, Payton, Cecillia, Nixon, Mila, Kyler; and 5 additional grandchildren, Caleb, Korbin, Landon, Keegan and Megan.Mike was preceded in death by his father, Charles Delamater in 1997.Memorial Services for Mike are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore with Pastor Dan Palmer officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 28 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral chapel.Michael's family would especially like to recognize The American Cancer Society and My Michigan Hospice for their wonderful care during this difficult time.
