Michael Alan Peterson's Obituary
Lakeview-Michael Alan Peterson, age 37, of Vermontville passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Lakeview on January 4, 1984, the son of Raymond and Linda (Bradley) Peterson. Michael was raised in the Six Lakes area where he attended Montabella Community Schools, graduating with the class of 2003. He continued his education at Montcalm Community College and Ferris State University earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Technology and Engineering. He was employed by Liquid Web in Lansing for the past 8 years. Michael married the love of his life, Jessica Dwyer, on September 22, 2007, at New Life United Methodist Church in Six Lakes. He was an active member in 4-H while growing up, and beyond by becoming a leader as an adult. Michael also was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout Leader. He enjoyed hunting, shooting sports, model rocketry, vintage baseball, restoring tractors, and being a ham radio operator, call sign KC8LEQ. He was a hardworking, good, and kind man who loved his family deeply, and cherished the time they spent together.
Michael will forever be missed and is survived by his wife, Jessica Peterson of Vermontville; children, Landon and Ariel Peterson; parents, Raymond and Linda of Edmore; sisters, Beth (Steven) Johnson of Ithaca, and Susan Hansen of Edmore; nieces, nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at New Life United Methodist Church in Six Lakes, with Pastor Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 26 at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview.
