Michael Joseph Piskun's Obituary
Howard City - Michael Joseph Piskun, 74, of Howard City, passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2019, at his residence.
He was born on October 2, 1944, in Grand Rapids, the son of Stanley and Stephanie (Korzeniecki) Piskun, and graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School in 1962. Michael served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. Following his discharge, he returned to the area, and was a driver for Associated Truck Lines for over 35 years until retiring. Michael was a member of the Grand Rapids American Legion Post # 459, and the Newaygo County Sportsmans Club.
In 1968, he married Rochelle Marie Hammer, who survives. Also surviving are one son Keith Piskun of Grand Rapids; 3 grandchildren, Devyn (Ron) Taylor, and Dakota Piskun and Matthew Radosevich; his brother Robert of Newaygo; longtime friends Steve, Danny, Brian and Michael as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Tom.
A Celebration of Michael's Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, beginning at 4:00 p.m., at the Newaygo County Sportsmans Club, 7951 Elm Avenue near Newaygo.
