Michael Allen Read's Obituary
Michael Allen Read, age 25, of Riverdale unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. Michael was born to Tonya Read on April 17, 1999, in Alma. He was raised in the Riverdale, Elm Hall area and attended Alma Public Schools. When Michael was 13 years old he told his Elm Hall crush he would marry her. That day came on October 22, 2022, when Taylor Morrison became Michael's bride. He was a jack of all trades but his most important job was being the proud father to three boys. Michael appreciated the outdoors, especially when hunting and fishing. He also loved the racetrack. Michael truly loved spending a lot of time with the ones he loved the most.
Michael will be greatly missed by his wife, Taylor Read; son and bonus sons, Jasper Sperry, Hudson Bouchey, Grayson Bouchey; mother, Tonya Read; mothers-in-law, Jamie Morrison, Shannon Morrison; fathers-in-law and special father figure, John Wells Jr., Steve Morrison; sisters, MariaLynn (Cole Geister) Read, Erica (Morris) Love; sister-in-law, Jaelyn Wells; brother-in-law, Austin Wells; grandparents, Pamala Read, Bill & Becky Sledge, Robert & Louise Antes, Tony (Crystal Sonnenberg) Grover, Connie Simon; aunts and uncles, Patrick Read, Jeremiah & Stephanie Utter, Jessica Utter, Amanda Dent; cousins, Cole (Destiny Gotwalt) Carmen, Makayla (Jake) Gender, Eli Utter, Brooke Utter, Nichole (Jim) Peak, Amanda (Jon) English, Jan Read, Jackson Stewart; and many more family members and special friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his bonus dad, Jeremy Waldron, uncle, Rick Read, aunt, Mary Read, and grandparents, Russell and Barbara Read.
A celebration of Michael's life will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Pine River Recreation Club in Riverdale beginning at 4:00PM. A benefit to help raise funds for the continued support of Michael's family will be held at the same time of the service.
