Mildred Anna Murphy's Obituary
Mildred Anna Murphy, age 95, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Corewell Wayne Hospital.
She was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the daughter of Kilian and Anna (Zinthefer) Hofmann, the fifth of eight.
She loved to cook and travel, especially to be with family.
Survivors include children, Michael (Virginia) Murphy, Rosamond Murphy (Eric Fahlgren), Sharon Murphy, and Teri Murphy, and grandchildren, Joseph and Peter Murphy (Melissa), Alec, Trystan, Galen (Chris Yarng), Fiona, and Thorin Murphy-Fahlgren, and Tyler Murphy, great-granddaughter Samantha and by many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Murphy, her parents, Kilian and Anna (Zinthefer) Hofmann; daughter, Colleen Murphy; brothers, Edward, Joseph, Lawrence, Anthony and John, and sisters, Genevieve Blair and Agnes Hofmann.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Michael Catholic Church on April 10, 2025, at 11A.M. A visitation will be held on April 9, 2025, at 4-7P.M. at Janowicz Family Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the funeral mass.
