Obituary
Edmore - Mildred I Vargo, age 95, of Edmore, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Brookcrest Nursing Home in Grandville, Michigan. Mildred was born March 16, 1924 in North Plains Twp. in Ionia, the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Wright) Munson. Mildred was raised in Stanton and graduated from Carson City High School. She was employed by General Motors as a general laborer and an inspector for over 34 years. Mildred enjoyed spending time with friends and family and meeting at friends' homes through Berean Baptist Church to worship. She also enjoyed knitting.
Mildred will be missed by her sons Roger (Tamara) Vargo of Pierson, and Douglas Vargo of Wyoming; daughter-in-law Beverly Vargo of Peyton, Colorado; grandchildren Richard (Stephanie) Vargo, Brandan Vargo, and Andrea (Brian) Trumble; great-grandchildren Kaden, Kendra, Kelsey, and Isabella "Bella"; one sister Roszella Hancock of Sheridan who is 100 yrs old and still living at home on her own; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Eva Munson; son Gary Vargo; and siblings Ruth Richardson, Viva Wells, Mary DeGraw, Stillborn Baby Arthur, Charles, Henry, and Howard Munson.
Funeral Services for Mildred will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore, MI with Pastor Paul Carmichael officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM and on Monday starting at 2:00 PM all at the funeral home. Interment will be at Vinewood Cemetery in Edmore following the funeral service.
