Mirvan E. Pace's Obituary
Mirvan E. Pace, 84, formerly of Paducah, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, in St. Johns, MI. He was born July 17, 1929, in Marshall County, KY, the son of Norman and Lona (Lyles) Pace, and worked as a mechanical engineer in the tool & die business. For several years, Mirvan served his country in the US Army. In 1956, he married Marilyn Sue Bell, who preceded him in death in 1996. Surviving are a son, Gerry (Darcy) of Williamston, MI; a daughter, Marissa (Tara Cronin) of Buffalo, NY; daughter-in-law Bronda Pace-Bertram of Monticello, KY; four grandchildren, Tyler (Tiffany), Travis, Connor, and Aidan; his great-grandson Tommy; two brothers, Fred and Grayson; 2 sisters, Ellene and Rosezell; and several nieces and nephews. Mirvan was also preceded in death by his son Tommy in 2002, and his brother Gilman. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 15, at the Cabell Grove United Methodist Church in Monticello, KY, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. His family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or local hospice care organization.
