My Dad, Bud Sanborn, worked with Myrl at Oldsmobile for many years, and our family spent many a wonderful weekend up at "Myrl's Farm". I have such warm and fond memories...(that's me in "Mryl's Jeep" in 1966). Dad always considered Myrl as a good friend and spoke of him often with great affection and admiration.
Myrl was a very good friend that I met through church. He took part in my baptism plus took me for my first Temple visit in Detroit where I was able to do some baptisms for my departed family.
We all had such wonderful times at the Thompson Farm with the many pot luck dinners, hay rides, & general good times together as a church family.
My heartfelt condolences go out to family members & friends of Myrl as he will be greatly missed by us all.
Our family was very fond of Brother Thompson. We loved going to the Farm in the fall for hayrides, chili, and a fire!! Also letting the scouts winter camp on the farm. There was for sure a party in heaven filled with joy when he arrived to his heavenly home. Love you and your family
In my life, I have meet many wonderful people. Myrl Thompson Is one on Them. Kind, helpful, giving. About his work in the Lord's vineyard. My heart is truly broken. My love and sympathy to his family. Thanks for the wonderful memories and your great example.
