Myrna Lou Foos' Obituary
Big Rapids - Myrna Lou Foos, 77, of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at her residence.
She was born July 4, 1945, in Edmore, MI, the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Draper) Peabody, and graduated from Edmore High School.
In 1993, Myrna married Donald E. Foos, and they lived in Colfax Township. For over 10 years, she worked as a secretary for the Mecosta County Sheriff's Department. Myrna was a member of Resurrection Life Church in Big Rapids. She enjoyed knitting, and also liked to spend time outdoors doing yard work and bird watching.
Myrna is survived by her husband Don; her son Kurt (Jessica) Statezni of Farwell; her daughter Gretchen Statezni of Grand Rapids; stepchildren, Rick (Laurie) Foos of Big Rapids, Cindy (Glen) Matz of St. Joseph, and Scott (Janet) Foos of Big Rapids; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her brothers, Wendell (Joyce) Peabody and Gaylen "Butch" (Terri) Peabody; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 23, 2023, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Ron Witbeck officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Plains Cemetery in Colfax Township. Myrna's family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
