Nona Jean Wilson's Obituary
Reed City - Nona Jean Wilson, 76, of Reed City, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Spectrum Health Reed City Hospital. She was born April 10, 1938, in Ithaca, the daughter of Clare L. and Lillian M. (Oliver) Gates. Nona had been a resident of Reed City for over 20 years, and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and latch hook. She is survived by four children, Debra (Scott) Yurks of Chicago, IL, John Evans of Evart, Alma (Chuck) Blades of Reed City, and Harold Wilson of Reed City; 4 grandchildren, Miranda and Michelle Loveland, Stanlee Yurks, and Heath Williams; 2 brothers, Ronald and Mike Gates, a sister Lillian Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. Nona was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Wilson in 2003. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Pastor Tim Fagan officiating. Spring burial will be in the Martiny Cemetery in Rodney. Nona's family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Wheatlake Cancer Center, or the Commission on Aging, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
