Norma Jean Fattore's Obituary
Norma Jean Fattore, 75, of Big Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born on November 19, 1950, the daughter of Robert and Mary Belle (Stewart) McCulley. Norma lived in the Warren, MI area most of her life. In 2021 she left metro Detroit for Big Rapids.
In 1968 she married Bill Fattore — a loving union that lasted 48 devoted years. Norma worked as a legal secretary for 25 years, and her keen professionalism and warm manner made a lasting impression on all who worked with her. After retirement, she cherished every moment spent with family and turned most of her time and love toward her granddaughters.
Her granddaughters — Alaina, Addison, and Samantha — meant the world to her. She was their biggest cheerleader, passionately supporting them at soccer, basketball, and softball games, and delighting in every milestone. Spoiling them, laughing with them, and nurturing them will always stand as a testament to how deeply she loved being “Frama.”
Norma also loved to travel. Year after year, she and Bill would make their way to Disney World and visit family in Tennessee — adventures filled with laughter, joy, and memories they cherished. She will be remembered as kind, generous, loving, and always up for whatever fun was ahead — with a big, booming laugh that lit up every room.
She is survived by her son Sam (Brandi) Fattore; her granddaughters, Alaina, Addison, and Samantha; her brother Robert (Sherrie) McCulley; her brother-in-law Charles (Faith) Fattore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her parents.
No services are planned at this time. She will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery, beside her beloved husband Bill.
Though Norma is gone, the warmth of her love and laughter — especially the memories she created with her granddaughters and family — will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
