I would like to extend my condolences to Opals family, she was a wonderful lady always full of life and energy.
After a long day I've finally been able to sit down and gather some thoughts. Many of which are running through my head. Today at the funeral people were asked to share memories and kind words and all day I've thought about the wonderful words shared. I've also thought of how Grandma Opal impacted my life. She was so kind, every bit of her was loving and gentle. Accepting is a huge word that comes to mind. With no questions asked she was the most accepting lady in my life, she loved me she listened to me and she guided me. I am privileged to have so many memories with such a lovely lady. She had all the faith in the world and she loved our god more than anything. She always prayed, I absolutely loved sitting in a church pew beside her. While sitting at her service today with tears rolling down my cheeks I was tapped on my shoulder, I turned around and a folded piece of paper was handed to me, Inside the paper was writing that said "She always requested prayer for you in church". I couldn't help but smile because thats just who grandma is her belief, religion, faith and heart defined her. Ill cherish every laugh, smile, hug and tear and embrace who she is in the best of my abilities.
A wonderful women of God, she was a true wittness of a Christian lady and a wonderful Aunt! She will be missed ????? Linda Rea and family.
Opal was one fine christian lady. God is smiling down at you all for one more soldier has come home. She will be greatly missed. May God Bless Jim and Kay and Family.
