Pamela Sue Sorsen's Obituary
On April 17,2023, Pamela Sue Sorsen slipped peacefully into Eternity. Born to Jack and Faye (Becker) Hegle on a brisk February Michigan day in 1959, Pamela was raised in Mecosta, MI. Attending Chippewa Hills schools, she was active in the FFA and exuberantly shared her talents in the award-winning Band program.
An attentive and loving caregiver to numerous elderly friends and family, Pamela sought out ways to grow her nurturing heart. She married Rudy Sorsen and together they welcomed their four children and Pamela flourished as a mother. While her employment at the Casino as a Security Guard gave her an outlet for her leadership skills, her family was top priority. Pamela always made time to be with her children and, eventually, her grandchildren.
Pamela had a sharp sense of humor, very seldom did she let an opportunity pass by to share a laugh. Her generous spirit flanked the threshold of her doors where kids who viewed her as a second mom loved to gather. She was a kind soul who had the ability to make others feel comfortable and at home in her presence.
She will be deeply missed by her family and beloved fur babies.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Rudy Sorsen; Sister, Brenda Fellmen.
Left to carry on her memory are her children, Kelly (Rolv) Sivertsen, Eric (Michelle) Sorsen, Amanda (Marcus) Jackson, and Michael (Melissa) Sorsen; sister, Patricia Hegle; brother, John Hegle; grandchildren, Emily, Jesse, Morgan, Hannah, Kollin, Robert, Carter, Messiah, Wynter, and Aiden; partner, Lorrie Watkins and her children Danna and Evie, and her beloved Pug, Lester.
A Memorial Service in Pamela’s honor will be held on Saturday, May 6th, at 12:00 pm, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, with Pastor Randy Piatt officiating. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Luncheon following the service at Wheatland township hall.
Pamela’s family encourages mourners to bring written memories to be shared at her service.
Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to God’s Helping Hands of Mecosta County.
