Patricia Lois Loveless' Obituary
Patricia Lois Loveless (Sherington) of Cedar Lake passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Pat was born on February 27, 1942, in Caledonia, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Hale) Sherington. She grew up and attended school in Lakeview. Pat worked at Electrolux in the 80s; she also worked at Marlview bar and bowling alley, as well as at a nursing home. Pat enjoyed her time working in local gas stations where she loved to chat with everyone. Her real passion came later in life when she began breeding and raising Pomeranians. Pat’s Pomeranians ran for 30 successful years. She also loved gardening and decorating her front yard for all the holidays, especially Easter. Her family always looked forward to all the eggs hanging from the stump. Pat loved her family but also kept her door open for many people who needed a place to stay. As her family grew, Pat was in her glory. She loved rocking her grandbabies and singing "You Are My Sunshine." Grammy’s motto was, “Shake it off, it will be better by the time you get married.”
Pat is survived and missed dearly by her children: Bud (Anne) Myers of Ashland City, TN, Cindy (Ken) Hughes of Cedar Lake, Larry (Debbie) Myers of Pleasantview, TN, Wendy (Danny) Winnie of Winn, Terry (Angie) Myers of Cedar Lake, and Jody Loveless of Tulsa, OK. Many grandchildren across 5 generations will be missing their Grammy as well.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Thomas E. & Mildred M. Sherington Sr.; sons, Timothy Vincent, and Ricky Bush; brothers, Robert Shultz and Tom Sherington; and sisters, Betty Noffvee and Joan Fountain.
A funeral for Pat will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM in Edmore at Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Lemuel Granada officiating. Family will greet guests at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Edmore.
