Patricia Joyce Wiltse's Obituary
Big Rapids-Patricia (Albright) Wiltse, 69 of Big Rapids passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital. She was born September 23, 1944to Lee and Dorothy (Looyengood) Albright in Fremont and grew up in White Cloud. She married Donald F. Wiltse in 1963 at Woodville Church. They lived most of their married life in the Woodville area on the family farm which came to be known as Woodville Flats. After helping to run their dairy farm she went to work at Blakely Realty. Then to Ferris State, Michigan Employment and finally at Central Michigan Community Health. When she became disabled and was unable to work any longer, she helped her husband with his excavating business by taking care of the books and office duties. Pat and Donald had two children; Lora (Richard, Jr.) DeVoe of Big Rapids and Donald P. (Marlo) Wiltse of Charlotte. They had four grandchildren, Richard DeVoe III, and Jeanine DeVoe both of Big Rapids, Hunter and Jaydon Wiltse of Charlotte. Also surviving are sister Peggy Graham of Reed City, sister-in-law, Carol Albright of White Cloud, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; three brothers, James (Sandy), Jerry and Ken (Clara) Albright; one sister, Marilyn Scott; in-laws, Orvle (Fay) and Lela Wiltse; and nephew, Kenneth (Bill) Albright. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Woodville Church with Pastor Foster Brummel and Pastor Brett Werner officiating. Visitation with family will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodville Church, Salvation Army or the Spectrum Health Foundation (Attn: Big Rapids Inpatient Rehab Center).
