Paul "Fitz" Douglas Fitzner's Obituary
Lakeview - Paul "Fitz" Douglas Fitzner, age 69, of Trufant, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Fitz was born on May 21, 1953, in Lakeview, the son of Donald J. and Vena Mae (Drier) Fitzner. He was raised in Lakeview and graduated from Lakeview High School Class of 1971. Fitz furthered his education obtaining an associate degree in 1973, through Lake Superior State. Fitz was employed by RJ Tower (Tower Automotive) for 31 years, and Agamarvel for 13 years. He formerly retired in September 2019. Knowing his best friend's sister Debra Lynn Smith, the two of them married on May 1983 in Stanton. Fitz enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting, spending time with friends and harassing people. His passion was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.Fitz will be missed by his wife Debra Fitzner of Trufant; children, Josh Smith of Greenville, and Kirby (Adam) Lincoln of Lakeview; 3 grandchildren Alicia "Pete" Smith, Kelly "Tug" Smith, and Shane "Hammerhead" Lincoln; brother, Jeff (Mary) Fitzner of Greenville; several nieces and nephews, and friends.Fitz was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Vena Mae Fitzner; siblings, Jeanne Fitzner, and twins, Bradley Alan and Bruce Lee.The family will accept friends for a memorial visitation on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. with a guest speaker at 3:00 at the Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, Michigan. Those wishing to make a contribution in Fitz's memory are asked to consider his grandchildren.
