Pearl Maus' Obituary
Pearl E. Maus, 96, of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, December 02, 2012, at Altercare Nursing Center of Big Rapids. She was born May 25, 1916, in Freesoil, the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Stubbs) Harris, and lived in Newaygo County's Goodwell Township for most of her life. For many years, Pearl worked in the laboratory at the Big Rapids Creamery, and later worked for White Cloud Products. She was a member of the Woodville Community Church. In 1935, she married William "Bill" Maus, who preceded her in death in 1993. Pearl is survived by her daughter Sally (Walter) Felos of Big Rapids; three grandchildren, Walter (Kate) Felos, Jr., Craig (Cheryl) Felos, and Holy Jo (David) Grevles; 6 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Russell and Charles Harris; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, at the Woodville Community Church in Woodville, with Pastor Brett Werner officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodwell Township Cemetery. Pearl's family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Altercare Activities Department, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
