Percy Crosby's Obituary
Percy Crosby passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday March 28, 2021.
He enjoyed a long life filled with family, hobbies, travel, and service to his country. He was a proud WWII Navy Seabee veteran, deployed as part of the Peace Treaty with Japan to help restore power. After returning from the war he bought a plane and became a pilot, picking up his then girlfriend Marylin for flying dates. He was captain of his own sailboat where he and Marylin spent many happy times in Sutton's Bay. He was a natural engineer, mechanic, and inventor out of necessity. He made looms by hand and enjoyed weaving rugs and scarves for his family, friends and homeless, made homemade wine in the basement, designed and built his own solar oven, fixed and overhauled his and family's cars and motorcycles as well as heavy equipment while working for Dyer Gravel Pit in McBride. He enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage with his "One and Only Sweetheart" Marylin. They enjoyed so many adventures together including many winters in Arizona camping and hiking. He was much loved by so many.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marylin and son Michael. He is survived by his sons and daughter's-in-law Darryl and Nancy, and Randy and Diane along with 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
