Peter "Pete" Lee Hogle's Obituary
Lakeview- Peter L. Hogle, age 88, was born on October 9, 1934, son of Pete and Estella Hogle. He passed away at his home on February 24, 2023. Peter lived most of his life in the family home helping his mother prior to her passing. He served honorably for four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Essex. Peter worked on the oil rigs before being employed by Ranney Refrigerator in Greenville and Lakeview Community Schools in the Maintenance Department. He was a hard worker who enjoyed helping others, going to auctions and telling stories, whether they were true or not. Peter loved being out of doors and working in his large garden that was bordered with gladiolas, and giving most of his harvest away. He will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 brothers, Dick, Jack, Mike, Ed, Rex, Jerry, Don and Gene, and 1 sister, Patsy. Peter is survived by his sister, Betty Selfridge; 3 sisters-in-law, Fern, Phyllis and Jennifer; and many nieces and nephews that he always enjoyed spending time with.
