Phyllis Grace Maxfield's Obituary
Big Rapids - Phyllis Grace Maxfield, age 75, of Grant Center, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday December 7, 2013. She was born on July 7, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Felix and Grace (Boudrow) Brissette. Phyllis was a homemaker. She taught Sunday school at the Grant Center United Church for many years while her children were growing up. She was a long time member of the church Quilting Club and enjoyed Bible study. Phyllis is survived by Jim, her husband of 55 years, 4 children, Venus (Edward) Aris, Linda (Mart) Lindsey, Jim (Lynn) Maxfield and William (Tammi) Maxfield, 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Gary and Anthony Aris, Amy and Angela Lindsey, Hannah Schneider, Holly Oates, Kyle Maxfield and Laura Maxfield, plus seven great grandchildren, Joelle, Greta and Ezra Schneider, Chloe Oates, Adelyn and Asher Aris,and Kayleb Maxfield. Also surviving is one brother, Ronald Brissette. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Brissette Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 10, 2013 at the Grant Center United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lyle Ball officiating. Burial will be in the Grant Center South Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant Center United Methodist Church. Phyllis's family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church on Tuesday.
