Randall C Almas' Obituary
Lakeview - Randall Charles Almas, age 67, of Morley, went to be with his Lord, at his home on Monday, April 25, 2016. Randall was born August 10, 1948 in Lakeview, the son of Charles Edgar and Merie Grace (Thurston) Almas. He was raised in Morley and graduated Class of 1967. Randall married Linda Shirley Chapin on June 8, 1968 at Bethel Lutheran Church. He was employed as Maintenance and Die Cast Operator by Keeler Die Cast 34 years until they closed. He then worked for Metron of Big Rapids in Maintenance for 2 years. Randall enjoyed farming, hunting, camping, fishing; but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Green Country Church.
Randall will be deeply missed by his wife Linda Almas of Morley; his mother Merie Almas of Morley; son Michael Almas of Morley; daughter Pamela (Christopher) Martin of Morley; five grandchildren Crue, Randi, and Emily Martin, Michael and Joel Almas; sister Susanne (Gary) McIntyre of Morley; brother Steven (Dianna) Almas of Morley; two brother-in-laws Roy (Arlene) Monroe of Grant, and Jim (Kathy) Chapin of Fl; three sister-in-laws Peggy (John) Dell of Grand Rapids, and Mona and Dawn Monroe both of Wyoming; several nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
Randall was preceded in death by his father Charles Almas; mother-in-law Shirley Girard (Russ Girard, Edwin Monroe); one sister-in-law Theresa Thompson; and nephew Jeff McIntyre.
Funeral services for Randall will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at Brigham Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Cooper officiating. Visitations for Randall will be held on Friday from noon until the start of the service and on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A luncheon will take place at Brockway Wesleyan Church on 3 Mile Rd. in Morley following the internment at Boyd Cemetery in Morley. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made payable to West Michigan Heart Association
