Raymond Lee Carl's Obituary
Edmore- Raymond Lee Carl, age 75, of Vestaburg passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. Raymond was born on January 22, 1947, in Alma, the son of Forest and Margaret (Parcher) Carl. He grew up in St. Louis where he attended and graduated from high school. Raymond served his country from 1968 until 1971 in Vietnam. On June 26, 1971, he married Janet Donley in Elm Hall. After Raymond retired from scrap metal work, he spent a lot of time working on and selling bikes. He enjoyed yard sales and collecting antiques. Raymond was also member of the St. Louis VFW Post #3055. Raymond is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet Carl; children, Raymond (Barbara Nolty) Carl Jr. of Edmore, and Trina (James) Cooley of Vestaburg; stepchildren, Tim (Melissa) Donley of Arizona, and Jeff Donley of Mt. Pleasant; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Ryers of Sheridan, Linda Ryers of Stanton, Mary Patton of Lake City, Florida, Thomas (Lorna) Carl of Riverdale, Ronald Carl of Riverdale, and Brenda (Neal) Seeley of Riverdale. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Barbara Carl, and brother Bobby Carl. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
