Raymond Peter Whalen's Obituary
Big Rapids - Raymond Peter Whalen, 78, of Big Rapids, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday February 6, 2020, at his residence.
He was born August 2, 1941 in Big Rapids, the son of Thomas and Gertrude (Haggman) Whalen. Ray had lived in the area his entire life and attended Big Rapids Public Schools. He was a big CB nut in his younger years, and lately loved to go play trivia with friends, and usually winning.
Ray is survived by his brother Ned Whalen of Big Rapids; several aunts and uncles; many cousins; and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and there will be an informal gathering for Ray in the spring. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
