Rebecca Jane (McMullen) Buckley's Obituary
Rebecca Jane (McMullen) Buckley, age 51, of Lakeview, passed away June 30, 2015 at home with family by her side. Rebecca was born on October 8, 1963 in Lansing, the daughter of Theodore Harley and Connie Lee (Melton) McMullen. She was raised in Lansing and Holt, spending summers in Chippewa Lake. She graduated from Holt High School Class of 1981. Rebecca received her Certificate in Nursing Assistant (CNA) from Montcalm Community College and was employed by Spectrum Health Kelsey Hospital for sixteen years. She married Thomas "Tom" Buckley on June 10, 1995 in Morley, Michigan. Rebecca enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, playing poker, and going to the casino. She loved spending time with grandchildren and family, and caring for other people. She was a very sociable person and touched many lives. Rebecca was a member of the Edmore Golf Course The Pines, and the Eagles.
Rebecca will be missed by her husband Tom Buckley of Lakeview; three children Gina Marie (Daniel) Ridolphi of Lakeview, Shana Lee (Jarrodd) DeMyer of Lakeview, and Nicole Leda (Jeremiah) Madden of Bristol, Tennessee; five grandchildren Jordyn Papendick, Leah Callaway, Savannah DeMyer, Anthony and Alexis Ridolphi; four siblings Katie (Marty) Miller of Chippewa Lake, Ted McMullen of Lansing, Vicky MacGregor of Chippewa Lake, and Patty (Allen) Muscarella of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Connie McMullen; and one brother-in-law Burt MacGregor.
A celebration of Rebecca's life will be Monday, July 6, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Roger Bennett officiating at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, Michigan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions in Rebecca's memory may be made to the family. All are invited following the service for a luncheon in the Brigham Funeral Chapel Banquette Room.
