Richard Samuel Bandfield's Obituary
Edmore- Richard "Rock" Bandfield, age 67, of Riverdale passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Richard was born in Lakeview on November 29, 1957, to Samuel and Ruth Bandfield. He was raised in Six Lakes attending and graduating from Montabella Schools with The Class of 1975. Richard spent 46 years employed in the oil industry. On May 20, 1983, he married Lynn Louise Hamblin, together they raised two beloved children. Becoming a grandfather was one of the greatest joys Rock was ever gifted with. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, and watching sports.Richard will be greatly missed by his wife, Lynn of Riverdale; children Morgan Bandfield of Edmore, Nathaniel and Felisha Bandfield of Edmore; grandchildren Callie, Oakley, Brantlee, and Zoey; siblings Cindy Maguire-Collings, Patty Smith, Pam and Randy Young, Becky and Tony Maxfield, Mary and Bruce Maguire, Julie Hansen; in-laws Mark and Amy Hamblin, Jill McLees, Mike and Jody Randall; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.Richard was preceded in death by his father Samuel Bandfield; brothers Ray Collings, Richard Gibbs; sisters Gail Hamblin, Amy Gibbs; nieces Michelle Peterson, Erin Hamblin, Samantha Gilbert; and two beloved dogs Buddy and Skye.A celebration of Rock's life will be announced at a later date.
