Richard "Dick" Glen May's Obituary
Edmore-Richard "Dick" Glen May, age 74, of Six Lakes, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 4, 2019. Dick was born on February 6, 1945 in Edmore, to Glen and Naomi (Heald) May. He was raised in the Six Lakes area and graduated from Edmore High School in the class of 1963. He was employed as a truck driver for more than 30 years and much of the time for Liquid Transport out of Alma. On November 6, 1965 Dick married the love of his life, Faith Anita Fouse of 53 years at the Rock Lake Chapel in Vestaburg. He is a member of the Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church where he serves as a board member, assistant treasurer and door greeter. He served his country in the Army National Guard from 1966-1972. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, building things, but most of all spending time with his family.
Dick is survived by his wife Faith; four children Donald Glen (Kimberly) May of Noblesville, IN, Troy Dale May of Muskegon, Melody Lynn May of Six Lakes, Gregory Eugene May of Stanton; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and one sister Carole (Dan) Gates of Grant.
Dick is preceded in death by one son Donnie Glenn May; one grandson Jason Aaron May; one brother Dale May; and both parents Glen and Naomi May.
Funeral services for Dick will be Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church in Vestaburg with Pastor Blake Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 8, from 6-8 PM at the Church. Those wishing to contribute in Dick's memory can be made to the Rock Lake Bible Methodist Church.
