Richard L Hutton's Obituary
age 69, of Canadian Lakes, MI, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013, after his 11- year battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services to follow.
Richard was born August 28, 1943, the son of Charles and Ruth (Beal) Hutton. He was a Commercial Car Carrier and a member of the Teamsters local 299 for many years before retiring in 1996.
Generous, loving, loyal, and a good friend were all words used to describe Richard. He had many interests and hobbies which included NASCAR, WWII memorabilia, boating, collecting and shooting guns, and above all, spending time with his grandchildren. To them he was not grandpa, he was papa; which was one of Richard’s favorite names to be called. He was a fighter and proved just how tough he was over the past 11 years. Richard never complained about not feeling well or anything else for that matter, even while going up against pancreas and liver cancer.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 28 years, Judy; children, Michael (Debra), David, Mary (Paul), and Michele (Chris); grandchildren, Robyn (James), Jimmy, Megan, Brooklyn, Cadence, Logan, and Luke; great-granddaughter, Madilyn; sister, Dyann; nephews, Kevin (Jasmin) and Nick (Elizabeth) who was also his godson; nieces, Keri and Sommer (Robert); great-nieces, Bella, Zoey, and Quillyn; and one great-nephew, Landen.
Sadly, Richard was preceded in death by his son, John; granddaughter, Charlie; sister, Marcia, and his parents.
Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in Richard’s name. Envelopes are available at Hansen Janowicz Funeral Home or donations can be made online at www.cancer.org/donate.
