Richard "Red" Norman Richmond's Obituary
Lakeview-Richard "Red" Norman Richmond, age 87, of Lakeview passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Laurels of Carson City. He was born on October 30, 1936, the son of Edward and Francis (Wheeler) Richmond. Red was born and raised in Grand Ledge where he attended school. He was employed as a line worker by Chrysler in the Detroit area for over 30 years. In 1975, Red married Patricia Stewart in Fenwick. He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycle, playing euchre, going to the VFW or Moose Lodge to hang out with friends and drink a Budweiser. Red was very outgoing and loved to have fun, but more than anything Red loved spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Red is survived by his children, Kim (Gary) Clements of Ionia, Rick (Sharon) Richmond of Ionia, Dale (April) Richmond of Ionia, Tina Richmond of Lansing, Dawn (Mark) Simancek of Hartland, Rick (Janice) Skurkis of Lake Orion, Alda Gilliland of Belding; sister-in-law, Joyce Richmond; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2006; parents, Edward and Francis; and brothers, Edward "Eddie", and Dale. Funeral services for Red will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, with Pastor Jeff Lemire officiating.
