Lakeview - Richard Dean Shumate, age 87, of Coral passed away at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He was born in Monroe on June 2, 1936 and was employed by Electrolux in Greenville for many years. He will be missed by his wife, Shirley; children and grandchildren. A memorial service for Richard will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview with Pastor Chris Kaufield officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the chapel.
