Robert "Bert" Richard Ferguson II's Obituary
Lakeview-Robert "Bert" Richard Ferguson II, age 51, of Greenville passed away unexpectedly at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, January 9, 2024. He was born in Lansing on August 1, 1972, the son of Robert and Judy (Kline) Ferguson. Bert was raised in Lakeview where he attended Lakeview schools. He was employed as a butcher/meat cutter most of his life and as a mechanic before health issues forced his early retirement. Bert enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, and rock picking. He loved his family, friends, a good pudding stone and being able to share his knowledge of outdoor activities with the next generations. Bert will be remembered as a proud, generous, hardworking man who was willing to help anyone in need.
Bert will forever be missed and is survived by his children, Kyle Wernette, Kimberly Ferguson, and their mother, Angela Wernette, Gage Gruno, Richard Ferguson, and their mother and his fiancé Crissy Gruno; grandchildren, Owen, Elana and Veronica Rodriguez; son in law, Michael Rodriguez; mother, Judy Ferguson; father, Robert Ferguson; sisters, Cherie Fenton, Jenna Miles; nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A celebration of Bert's life will be held at a later date.
